5 minute mug cake, from start to finish!

I am serious!! From when you start making this cake until you are eating it, takes minutes!! Miss K & I had found this recipe years ago, written it down as one to try but had just never gotten around to it, until now! I can't believe we waited so long! We both wanted a little bit of something yummy & chocolate for desert after a light dinner but didn't want to go to too much trouble. This mug cake was no trouble at all!! It is a simple as mix, microwave, eat!! I had brought some very cute soup mugs on special at the supermarket a few weeks ago & this is perfect for them. I would make sure that you use a high sided coffee mug, soup mug or a noodle bowl. This mixture makes one but it could very well serve 2!!

5 minute mug cake

4 tablespoons of Self Raising Flour
4 tablespoons of sugar
2 tablespoons of cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons of milk
3 tablespoons of oil (I used olive oil)
3 tablespoons of choc chips

Place all ingredients in a mug, except the choc chips, & whisk well. Sprinkle choc chips on top.

Cook on high in the microwave for 3 minutes.

Dust with icing sugar & you have desert!! Yummy!!!

Enjoy!!

I can't believe it took us sooooo long to make it!! Waited about 5 years & it only took 5 minutes!!! Miss K is learning how to cook so she goes through all of the recipes looking for something new. I will have to try the raspberries next time!! I am also going to make sure not to run out of icecream before I make this next time!! LOL!!!
