Mod Podge Comic book shoes! How cool are these shoes???? Too cool!

you will know that I have been telling you all about my love for Mod Podge.

This is why…

Oh, how I love these shoes!

Kiara loves these shoes so much that as soon as she saw them, she wanted to have a pair for herself.

I think we are going to end up with quite a few pairs of Comic shoes in our household.

This is all you need,

Mod Podge (decoupage medium)

a comic book

pair of ballet flat shoes

scissors

paintbrush

newspaper to protect you work surface

Cut out the pictures that you want to use.

Arrange them on your shoes to get a feel for what they will look like.

Make sure that the best picture is at the toes because that is what everyone will see first when you are wearing them.

Using a paintbrush, apply a layer of mod podge to the back of one of the pictures (starting at the toes) & place it on the shoe.

(you may need to cut little slits around the edge of the picture so that it bends around the shoe)

Paint a layer of mod podge over the top of that picture & make sure there are no bubbles or creases.

Keep repeating until the shoe is covered.

When the mod podge has dries, apply another 3 layers of mod podge over the top (making sure that each layer dries completely before doing the next)

Seriously….how cool are these shoes??????
