So it is that time of year, Christmas is approaching. It is time to start thinking about gifts. With the end of the Australian school year not long away, I thought I would start with gifts that would make a great present for school teachers.
I found this terrific coffee cup cosy tutorial over at
This is the perfect for using up all of your fabric scraps.
It is such a well done tutorial that I am sure that even a beginner sewer can follow with no problems.
It would only take around 20 minutes or even less to make.
You would even be able to sew these by hand if you don’t own a sewing machine.
I first looked for a tutorial & pattern like this because my eldest daughter has a male teacher & we were finding it difficult to think of a thoughtful gift. She then told me that he loves coffee! Now this is also a great gift because we have hidden something inside the cup.
The cups are just disposable coffee cups that cost around $5 for 25 that I found out Coles.
These would also make the perfect Secret Santa present for work or family.
Over the next couple of weeks I will be sharing some more gifts like these that don’t cost the earth but the recipient of these gifts would be excited to receive.
I am going to make a few more of these to put in my car & the picnic basket! So I guess you could say that I am giving myself a gift!
For sure these are going on my "to do" list for christmas gifts. Thanks! I'm glad you linked up at Etcetorize~
